Hallo Ronel and Andre and team
Thank you for allowing me to use your wonderful/ beautiful camp site.
I just returned from camp yesterday, so I am still busy getting things sorted, washed, unpacked and bills paid.
Somewhere in this week (hopefully) I will send you feed back and some photos of the Glenwood House prefect camp.
Can I get a list of costs for using your camp site as well as sleeping capacity. I would like to bring more of my clients to your venue.

Kind Regards

DECEMBER 2012  – kids bootcamp weekend – NG Church Sedgefield

Hi Andre,

The weekend was wonderful and that was due to the great accommodations. We found the layout, and the facilities were perfect for our group. The bootcamp catered to our every need and the teenagers had an absolute ball, a few favourites being the pool, and the bonfire boma.

All in all it was perfect! And Russel was very helpful. I have and will recommend this place to anyone needing a bootcamp facility. Well done and keep up the great work.

I will send you pictures asap.

 Hi Ronel

I really appreciate your thanks, but you and Andre are definitely the ones that warrant the most ‘thanks’. You guys really went to so much trouble to make it an awesome day for the gr7s (and us few adults). It was very classy and so well organised. Geneva would definitely have coped perfectly without me, but I enjoyed it so much I didn’t want to leave and I was also a  little nervous we might’ve forgotten something, so felt safer to hang around, so I could pop off for supplies if needed.

I’m positive the school will find a lot of use for Bootcamp@Rondevlei, I’ll certainly highly recommend it.

PS  Just between you and me – Danae said ” I love Luke’s mom she such fun and so nice to us girls!!” (You’ve got a fan Ronel.)

Thanks again everything.

Kind Regards

Glenwood House grade 7’s held their farewell and a potjiekos cooking competition under the watchful eye of international celebrity chef Colin Capon.

22 – 23 November, 2012 Oakhill Primary survival weekend

Oakhill private school in Knysna held a sleep-over team build at Bootcamp on Thursday 22 November. 30 grade 3 pupils attended and four teachers were in attendance. They started with an introduction to the Bootcamp Code of Honour, followed by a route march to the Wolwe River for a swim and back to the farm. After lunch they were divided into groups for courses in first aid, self defence and team building. This was followed by going though the obstacle course and a game of soccer. The group then cooled off in the farm dam and took some leisure time before dinner. Games were played in the boma around a friendly camp fire and all were asleep at 9pm. Next morning they were taught the basics of Newtons Laws of gravity and how to make air rockets from 2L plastic bottles. The morning was rounded off with a game of cricket.

Organiser Mark Stevenson says the event was a big success and the children really enjoyed themselves. “Some of the kids had never slept away from home and they all handled the overnight very well. It taught them to interact with their friends, they learnt the basics of self defence and first aid and had lots of fun. We hope to include some basic astronomy, field guiding and cooking into the next course.”

2 – 3 November 2012 Guju Ryu Karate Bootcamp at Rondevlei

Sensei Juan Ferreira organised a karate bootcamp weekend for his Sedgefield goju ryu students at bootcamp@rondevlei during 2 & 3 November. Fourteen students attended varying from white belts through to black.

“ Many thanks, good facility and excellent setting” – sensei Jean Ferreira 072 0501422.

28 October, 2012 The Sedgefield Christian Church lead by Pastor Noel vd Merwe held their annual spring braai at Rondevlei Farm on Sunday 28 October. “ Thanks guys, great venue and its always fun”.

20 May, 2012 Rondevlei Residents Association Self Defence

We arranged a self defence course for members of the Rondevlei Residents Association at Bootcamp on Sunday 20 May, 2012. Anton du Plessis a combat specialist and a weapons instructor presented the course to over 20 willing participants. The self defence instruction proved to be very valuable and well worth attending. The facility was also ideal.
